The team from Keyri, a pioneering protection platform specializing in preventing account takeover and ensuring account integrity, is joining Signifyd in its mission to protect online merchants from fraud and abuse.
The addition of Keyri’s technology and team of exceptional engineers, product leaders, and fraud prevention experts will enhance Signifyd’s robust account takeover protection while bolstering our account integrity protection. The move will also accelerate innovation and expand Signifyd’s ability to serve merchants and their customers in the face of rapidly changing fraud tactics and targets.
Account takeover (ATO) is a growing and pernicious form of fraud that provides fraudsters with the illusion that orders and other account activity are being conducted at the hands of a legitimate customer. Online merchants in 2024 listed ATO as one of their biggest fraud and risk challenges, according to the Merchant Risk Council.
Account takeover hurts online merchants and consumers alike
“Account takeover attacks are one of the most pervasive and costly fraud challenges facing businesses today,” said Signifyd CEO Raj Ramanand. “Keyri has been at the forefront of developing solutions to ensure account integrity without sacrificing user experience. Together, we’re uniquely positioned to help merchants overcome these threats on a global scale while enabling online merchants to grow.”
This strategic move comes at a time of significant growth for Signifyd. Over the recent Cyber Five holiday shopping period record sales on Signifyd’s Commerce Network were up 27% over 2023.
Among those joining Signifyd are Keyri co-founders Zain Azeem and Saif Malik. Since launching in 2021, Keyri has become a trusted partner for merchants across industries including ecommerce, financial services and digital marketplaces. Its innovative approach to fraud prevention has allowed businesses to enhance security while maintaining seamless experiences and high conversion rates.
“We’re incredibly proud of the impact Keyri has made in tackling fraud and securing user accounts,” Keyri co-founder Malik said. “Joining forces with Signifyd is a tremendous opportunity to scale our mission globally. Together, we’ll deliver even greater value to merchants by staying ahead of emerging fraud threats and ensuring that businesses and their users are protected in real time.”
Keyri’s team and technology will serve to protect Signifyd merchants and their customers
Malik’s co-founder Azeem said that joining Signifyd makes Keyri’s innovative technology available to thousands of merchants, including many household-name brands.
“It’s important work,’’ Azeem said. “You can stop account theft at multiple stages. The key is adding the right amount of friction at the right time for the right consumer — or maybe adding no friction at all, when appropriate.”
Adding Keyri’s team and tech strengthens Signifyd’s ability to protect more online journeys, secure more transactions and prevent more account takeovers. By integrating Keyri’s expertise, Signifyd reinforces its commitment to advancing ecommerce fraud and abuse protection and shaping a safer, more seamless online shopping experience for consumers.
